Taberna Montalbán opened its doors in 2025 in the heart of El Retiro, Madrid, with a simple yet profound mission: to bring back those timeless flavors to the table, the ones that excite and transport you back to the meals of your childhood.

The idea was born to my father, Miguel, a lover of traditional cuisine and good craftsmanship. Today, I—Paloma, his daughter and the only girl among three siblings—amongst others, carry on this dream with the same love with which it began.

At our home, located at 3 Montalbán Street, we serve family recipes with a modern twist, prepared with quality ingredients that pay homage to our city and our roots.

But if there's one thing that makes this tavern special, it's the warmth of our team, always friendly, always authentic.
